    Soil Restauration and Protection

We elaborate soil restoration practices and management strategies to counter severe forms of land degradation. (Source: Buen Dia, Region of Madrid)

The protection and restauration of degraded agricultural soils and natural landscapes are crucial challenges for regional and environmental development.

We offer step by step action plans and organisational assistance to protect soils from degradation and to improve soil fertility.

Based on the following steps we support you to restore soil organic carbon and soil fertility.

    1. Analysis of present soil health, stress factors and threats
    2. Preparation of soil-surface area (stone collecting techniques, stone raking)
    3. Terra forming to reduce surface water runoff and erosion
    4. Restructure soil layers, place rocks and stones under fine soil (reverse rotary tilling)
    5. Soil organic matter sources by protection planting and intercropping techniques
    6. Soil improver amendment strategy with integrated innovative bioenergy technologies

We design “no dig” or “no till” systems combined with mulching and the application of organic soil improvers, to regain basic biological soil functions and carbon stocks.

Next to the open agricultural fields we focus on agroforestry, olive, fruit or wine yards in the dry regions for testing our intercropping techniques and soil improver amendment preparations.

We have elaborated a big list of soil improver amendment preparations and plant communities with legume partners to be sowed among olive trees for example:
